Scott Robinson is an award winning instrumentalist who has performed with countless ensembles and artists. He specializes in playing strange, obscure instruments[2] such as the contrabass sarrusophone he performed with for the version of "Older" that appeared on Mink Car.
Robinson has worked with well known artists such as Lionel Hampton, Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, and Sting. He has also performed with the New York City Opera, and was titled the United States' "Jazz Ambassador" by the U.S. State Department in 2001, the same year he recorded with They Might Be Giants.[3]
