Trivia/Info
- This demo was sung by Flansburgh in an artificially deep voice. It is much more synth heavy than the studio version, and uses the "You said you were the king of liars..." verse instead of the "Time won't find the lost..." of the studio version. Many live renditions include both verses.
- The Power Of Dial-A-Song II recording cuts off abruptly mid-solo, omitting the final refrain, and reducing the run time to 1:08.
- This song was played on Dial-A-Song at least as early as 1988, as one recording contains a promo for the band's September shows at the Knitting Factory at the end of the song.
