Lyle Workman is a guitar monster who has featured prominently on some very strange and specific moments in TMBG:
- sparring with Eric Schermerhorn in Oddball (a Frank Black cover - Lyle has played in Frank Black's band)
- providing the ridiculous solo in the mostly-Mono Puff backed New York City
- and reappearing a decade later to play lead on The Cap'm and Bee Of The Bird Of The Moth.
