Interpretation[edit]

Do any of u get the idea that this song is about one of the Johns and thier wives? Just a thought..... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.70.7.112 (talkcontribs) 19:58, October 1, 2005

Can't say I have, no, considering that this wasn't written by the Johns. Their decision to cover it may have been motivated by that thought, I guess. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.2.150.33 (talkcontribs) 20:07, October 1, 2005

Cool little cover[edit]

In the vein of S-E-X-X-Y, an ode to getting it on. Though it's curious to me how he's always willing to do what his baby wants...where is this guy's sense of self? Stand up for your needs, man! Do what you want to do sometimes! Of course, he may have an unfortunate neurological disorder if all he can do is repeat the same syllable over and over again. yehyehyehyehyehyehyehyehyehyeh --MisterMe 13:50, 15 November 2012 (EST)

A Man who agrees to all his wife's suggestions[edit]

After listening to it several times, the song makes me think it's mostly about a guy who agrees to whatever his wife says because he loves her so much.

What makes me think this is because at the start of the 5th line, it says: "And then she asks me, why don't I come to her flat and have some supper and let the evening pass by. By playing records, the sounds of groovy hi-fi? I say yeh yeh" and "And when she asks me if everything is okay, I give the answer, the only thing I can say: I say yeh yeh". So, this makes me believe that he's just saying yes or agreeing to everything his wife says.

And he wants to do the best things for her that she and he will enjoy together. And maybe so does his wife. I mean, why wouldn't he agree?? He doesn't need to give a long answer just to state his opinion on how he feels about her suggestion. I guess "Yeh yeh" is cool.
