Interpretation 1

The most daring mystery ever devised by TMBG. Who IS knocking on that wall? We can infer that it is a next door neighbor or roommate, as someone from the outside would not knock on the wall. (They would probably knock on a window or a door.) If it is his roommate, he undoubtly knows WHO his roommate is, unless of course he is angry at him. Let me explain... If the singer is angry at his roommate he would not even acknowledge him when he knocks on the wall to talk. "Who's knocking on the wall?" Of course can you blame the singer for disliking a roommate who knocks on walls to talk to people? --Armicron 16:10, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
