What is the Contraption?

Ok so I will start with the simple part, someone was given a wedding gift that they thought would work better than the tool they already possess. Lo and behold it disappointed them and they realized that it was an inferior tool to what they already possessed. The singer chose to no longer use it (even tho it was a wedding gift which I am pretty sure was meant to be sarcastic) and kept it in a tucked away box behind their garage. The Contraption was also left beside a can opener. My theory is the can opener was also an elaborate wedding gift that was made to look awesome or work in a cool way but it was just convoluted and useless in the end. The Contraption should have a few possibilities as to what it is. 1. A blender maybe 2. a single-purpose cleaning device 3. a juicer (my first thought) 4. An electric knife or chopper
