Interpretations:Come On And Wreck My Car

From This Might Be A Wiki

Beach Boys[edit]

This sounds a lot like the Beach Boys or another older boy band, right down to the car reference. :-) --[Random] 22:59, March 25, 2004

Smash Mouth[edit]

Sounds like Smash Mouth. --acs-24-239-33-120.zoominternet.net|13:07, June 9, 2004

Considering Smash Mouth didn't form until 1994 and didn't release their first album until 1997, it may be more like Smash Mouth sounds like this song. :-/ --MisterMe (talk) 09:16, 28 December 2016 (EST)

Dig My Grave[edit]

I think it's just a cannibalization/parody of the album's opening track, Dig My Grave. Musically, I always thought that the melody to this song and Dig My Grave sounded eerily similar to each other, and lyrically speaking, the terms "Dig My Grave" and "Wreck My Car" aren't TOO far off from each other. -TheNintenGenius 01:17, August 6, 2004

Street Fighter[edit]

This is obviously inspired by Super Street Fighter 2's car destroying bonus round. Armicron 16:51, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Haha, I love it! "Come on, come on, and Shoryuken!" --MisterMe (talk) 09:16, 28 December 2016 (EST)

Mary's Danish[edit]

Could it be a nod to "Don't Crash the Car Tonight" by Mary's Danish? That song was only a couple of years old in 1992. -- repowers

I'd never heard of that band or song so I looked it up. TMBG could have drawn some inspiration! The video can be found on YouTube here. --MisterMe (talk) 09:16, 28 December 2016 (EST)

Interpretation 6[edit]

It's about a guy that either wants to collect the insurance (or just doesn't like his car) and is encouraging random drivers to dispose of it. Or he is giving his friends, who loves car-smashing, leeway to freely smash his car. -NC 13:21, July 27, 2008

Random thing[edit]

It's a random thing for Fingertips. It doesn't need to be anything more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Henrym (talkcontribs) 19:44, December 13, 2011
