If this was Linnell's song, I'd be sure it was an exercise in general misanthropy, like Museum of Idiots. Flans is too genial for such sourness, and he's got so many touchstones I can't generally figure out what he's trying to get at without Cliff's Notes. This song is about a colony of mutant clowns living in the woods near the interstate highway. A German guy is driving past and he sees the clowns.
