TMBG once played in Baltimore city. It was May 2004. They played Spin the Dial. They went through the entire spectrum and ran into nothing but ads. They played along to some, and Flansy promoted some stuff, but afterwards, Flansy ranted about it. I remember some of the things he said. Among other things, he said: "One of you people in the audience must have called all the local radio stations [imitates babling into cellphone] and told them all that at exactly [looks at watch] 6:14, They Might Be Giants were going to play Spin the Dial and to play only ads."
