- This song's title was initially shortened to "Everything Right Is Wrong" and was labeled as such on demo releases from 1984 to 1985.
- The original demo of "Everything Right Is Wrong" was recorded in late 1983 or early 1984 by John Linnell with the help of his former Mundanes bandmate John Andrews. This recording is currently unavailable to the public, but Andrews claims to still own a copy. Andrews discussed this demo in a 2026 email:
The first demo of everything right was made by John Linnell and me at Luminous Productions where we're both working. John had the song and there was a 4 track so he made a demo with me in guitar and background vocal to play for John.
- When sorting the tracklisting for the band's debut album, this song was chosen over "Don't Let's Start" as the leadoff track. John Linnell on this change[1]:
We had a discussion about where "[Don't Let's Start]" belonged on the record, and I felt it was so not strong enough that we moved it to later [on the album]. It was going to be the first track, and we thought, "No, no, no, let's just move it further back," and we put "Everything Right Is Wrong [Again]" on the top.
- The Long, Long Trailer is a comedy film made in 1954 starring Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. They play a newlywed couple traveling cross-country in a huge trailer that is more trouble than it's worth.
- This song plays over the closing credits of the film Ed and His Dead Mother. It was also featured in the 2017 Walking Dead episode "Hostiles and Calamities."
- A 1993 subscription form for the Hello CD Of The Month Club, advertising their reissue of the 1985 Demo Tape, erroneously states that a version of "Everything Right Is Wrong Again" is present on the tape.
