would Hell Hotel count? it was only ever a demo. if Hell Hotel doesn't count, what about the (other) demo versions of Hell Hotel (e.g. Hell Hotel (1984 Demo))?

likewise, do DAS versions count? --Ncrecc (talk) 18:00, 16 January 2025 (EST)

I don’t think Hell Hotel counts because it was never made into a studio track.
I think as far as Dial-A-Song demos go, it depends on the song. Spider shouldn’t go on there since there’s one change to the studio album. But the Hey Mr DJ version should go on there because of the lyrical and instrumentation differences. --Sadsack07 (talk) 14:46, 23 January 2025 (EST)
Spider (Dial-A-Song) has more than one difference from the album version. It's an entirely separate recording. I think all demos of later released songs should go here. TitanicFog (talk) 21:53, 23 January 2025 (EST)
I don’t think it actually is a separate recording, it’s just a different mix. I’m wanting to also have a category for early mixes, which I feel like that would go there. The fact that it’s a Dial-A-Song doesn’t mean really anything, that’s just how that version was distributed. It just gets rid of “must stop!” and the echo on the “ladies and gentlemen.” The Hey Mr DJ Dial-A-Song is a completely different take, with a different chorus and different instrumentation. --Sadsack07 (talk) 16:38, 24 January 2025 (EST)
