Talk:Podcast 6A

From This Might Be A Wiki

Gee whiz... this is a short Podcast... but an awesome one! (Turnip) 21:20, 4 Apr 2006 (CDT)

Yeah, but, this one came out only 8 days after the last. Plus, it had no filler tracks that had been previously released (well, I never heard "I Never Go To Work")... quality over quantity! ~ Magbatz 21:25, 4 Apr 2006 (CDT)

The Johns are getting more and more lazy when doing Cecil. In every podcast, you can hear more and more telling inflections.--tehbagel 15:08, 5 Apr 2006 (CDT)

Well, since we hear Flans refer to Cecil as "You", I guess we can infer that at least on this one, Cecil's not him. Unless he's talking to someone else... {thought trails off} but who would that be? Goldie? Linnell? Marty? Dan? Danny? Or somebody we have yet to haer mention of? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 14:35, 14 Apr 2006 (CDT)
What? When did Flans mention Cecil? -CapitalQtalk ♪ 17:05, 14 Apr 2006 (CDT)
Oh, nevermind. I don't think Flansburgh was talking to 'Cecil' there... -CapitalQtalk ♪ 17:07, 14 Apr 2006 (CDT)
Cecil: "Come out and see the shows--"
Far off in the background, Flansburgh laughs and says, "Well if you want to do it again, that's fine"
But anyway, I don't know if that would be in the studio with "Cecil" and then Flans remarking something to him in the same room; I don't think they would record it like that (and for the record, I think the voice is definitely JF).

Right after Flans laughs, there is someone else laughing at the end. It sounds an awful lot like "David Remnikopf's" laugh in the hotel detective commentary. So maybe it's not the Johns doing Cecil...?--Hermy-o-ninny 00:32, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

My personal belief is that that is from the end of the Complete Paranoia that was playing in the background--Since they were synching the song with the credits on Direct from Brooklyn, and they were thinking about re-doing that. Does that make sense? --Valerie 16:41, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah it does. Hmmm...--Hermy-o-ninny 23:22, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Question[edit]

How long do you think that these guys will keep up the podcasting? I really hope they keep it up for a long amount of time. The podcast 6a is short, but good. Plus, they are getting ready for their tour so they prolly don't have much time to podcast. (Sorry my post sounds awkward, but I got a perscription for some cough syrup with codine so I'm rather wooshy right now. That is so not a word.) --ArAn 12:23, 5 Apr 2006 (CDT)

I think the reason they've been releasing so many in such a short time is to tide us over while they're on tour and unable to spend a huge amount of time on podcasts. But who knows? :D -CapitalQtalk ♪ 13:58, 5 Apr 2006 (CDT)

New High Tech Dial-A-Song?[edit]

Even though DAS came back the other day, I still think that this is an amazing alternative. We get to hear rarities and new tracks, as well as some old stuff and whatnot. I seriously hope they keep this up for a long time, it's amazing. I look forward to any future podcasts.
