Talk:Drink!

From This Might Be A Wiki

Anyone know exactly what show (date and city) that 2003 show that's talked about in the trivia/info is? Just curious. - Fwahobadagadz

This song (as much as I enjoy it) always weirded me out a little. Mink Car came out on September 11, 2001, and this song's lyrics include lines like "This town is so great", "Drink to no big surprise", "What words rhyme with buried alive?" It's just slightly disturbing even if entirely coincidental. --Salt-Man Z 09:12, 2 May 2006 (CDT)

The Affiliated[edit]

OK, possibly a completely meaningless coincidence, but this song sounds insanely like the first section of "The Affiliated" by the Dukes Of Stratosphere (who are really XTC in disguise)!!! Same subject, too! We all know about John Flansburgh and XTC, could this be a reference? -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 17:13, 22 March 2010

hmm, i think i might see where you're coming from. i think it's flansburgh who mentioned he liked xtc, which would make more sense. (also it's Stratosphear). --ant 22:24, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
I can see what you're talking about. It seems like this is sort of a common...uh...style for a song, but I think they're similar enough that a connection is there. -Apollo (moo) 22:31, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Earworm[edit]

For years, I heard the line 'what was mine was barely alive'. Which doesn't just scan but is equally TMBG to me!
