Fan Recaps and Comments:

This show was a part of WHTG-FM's "Snowball" benefit, which also included performances by Del Amitri, Deep Blue Something, CIV, Rusty, Solution A.D. and the Whirling Dervishes.

Bonzulac:

This was the first time I'd ever seen an all-teenaged-girl mosh pit. And the last time, come to think of it. TMBG started the show with a countdown before they came onstage (which went into the negatives: "I don't want to be the NEGATIVE ONE, but you'd be NEGATIVE, TOO...") Then they launched into a version of "Istanbul, Not Constantinople" which punished the audience for enjoying it by ending with a five-minute stretch of psychadelic noise. I've seen these guys live a bunch of times, and it's always brilliant and always different. Oh, and if you're reading this, John and John, come to Austin, TX! (I moved.)

"Energetic performances dominate 'Snowball'" by Dina Maasarani
Asbury Park Press, Dec. 19, 1995:

Clocking in at an amazing 5½ hours, the show's highlight was an energetic performance by They Might Be Giants.
Joining the duo John Flansburgh and John Linnell was long-time Joe Jackson bassist Graham Moby; their powerful set featured fun songs like "Birdhouse In Your Soul," "Twisting" and "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" from 1990's "Flood." There was also a festive rendition of "Santa's Beard" from the band's "Lincoln" album plus a strong performance of one of their more recent singles, "Snail Shell."
