Clearly, the song is about Jerry Lewis getting a career as a test pilot. (Sounds like someone's on a collision course with wackiness!) In all seriousness, I think the song is a mild parody of the then-new hip-hop culture. The idea of this nerdy, delusional white guy calling himself "def" is kind of funny.
