Talk:Podcast 2A

From This Might Be A Wiki

The Free Tunes Page at tmbg.com lists the iTunes Music Store ID for the podcast. This implies it has been submitted to iTunes. Maybe the publish date was set in the future. In any case, going to this link tries to launch iTunes and play Podcast 2A. I reckon this will work when it's good an' ready. Maybe they're broadcasting from West Xylophone this week and the intarweb connection is slow. --Jlavezzo 21:16, 20 Dec 2005 (EST)

If you follow the link given from tmbg.com an iTunes notice says that it isn't available in the u.s. music store does this mean that folks in the U.K. can get it?

No, that's just the iTunes way of saying it's not available. -CapitalQ 14:14, 2 Jan 2006 (EST)

Podcast 2A currently does not exist. We know that it contains the song Yeah, The Deranged Millionaire, which was released on the Free Tunes page on 12/16/05. The 12/16/05 TMBG email newsletter also stated the Podcast will arrive within the next few days.

This has been released and therefore these entries are, indeed outdated. --ArAn 19:27, 17 Jan 2006 (EST)

Hasn't it just been released? Someone should bring this up to date, but I sure as hell won't.

I find it kind of weird that until it's finished downloading, iTunes lists the run time as something over twenty-four minutes. I don't remember exactly how long, but it was 24: something. ]— User:ACupOfCoffee@ 19:18, 17 Jan 2006 (EST)

When podcast 2a was typed into the search bar it gave you an actual search. I made it redirect to the actual article (not everyone uses shift all the time.) --ArAn 00:01, 5 Feb 2006 (CST)

I think the live version of Robot Parade is the same version on The Spine Hits the Road. --MetalDetector 19:54, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

It's different. Listen to the keyboard right before Flans starts singing - on the podcast the same chord is repeated three times, but on The Spine Hits The Road the notes change. I don't think the recording is taken from that particular Grant Park show, though. ~ blitzente (talk) 20:53, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Get Along Home Harvard Bunch

What should we do with this song? It's currently a link, but i'm wondering if we shouldn't remove the link to it, and just replace it with text. I'm asuming that TMBG didn't do anything with this recording...But, the only info i've been able to find on the song, is this link: tackytreasures.com. (Scroll 3/4 of the way down the page) --Duke33 13:17, 19 Jan 2006 (EST)

A great deal of information on the Goldwaters can be found here: conelrad.com. I vote for a transcription of the song as opposed to a page of its own, this could set an unweildy precedent if future podcasts continue to include non-Giants songs. --Tisher 20 Jan 2006
Additionally, according the LP cover and the samples on the page, this song is properly titled "It's Over Now". --Tisher 20 Jan 2006

What about the other thing, the thing labeled as "Declaration of Independence Trailer"? - extrafacelol

Alphabet music?

I've been listening to Cecil's introduction to Battle for Planet of the Apes over and over again, trying to figure out what he says in that jumble of words transcribed as <indistinguishable> in the segments transcript.. I dont know why, I just really want to figure out what he says. It sounds like he's saying "it features alphabet music", lol. --Fwahobadagadz 19:35, 15 Feb 2006 (CST)

Kinda sounds like "something-the-bed music". I dunno. --Valerie 13:24, 20 May 2006 (CDT)

Background music

Am I the only one who really likes that music playing in the background during the second narrator dialogue? VolatileChemical 09:19, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

You mean Theme To Podcast 2A? Nope, no you're not. It is cool. I'm glad it reappeared on Podcast 23A! Akagi 18:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
