Lyrics Talk:Processional 2
From This Might Be A Wiki
Anyone know what he's saying, and why it sounds so creepy? Besides the children's or woman's voice (which Linnell probably didn't arrange), what I can guess is: "The spell! something something the smell! We drove them to the spell! of the House... of... of... House..." Perhaps it's mirroring in some way the full House Of Mayors song whose lines contain "The room has a faintly musty smell / You forget where you are, you are under their spell!" ~ magbatz

How come it says it's an instrumental on the lyrics page, but says that it's sung by John Linnell on the song page? -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")
- Because it's easy to hear him speaking, but difficult to make out most of what he's saying (at least for me). ~ blitzente (talk) 15:13, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- you think that is him? i don't think so at all. even if he does say something, it's not lyrics; the song is still an instrumental. -- 19:01, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

- what are you talking about that is totally john linnell! which is worth noting somewhere, probably, especially since he is saying house of mayors-y things -Apollo (colloquia!) 13:58, 20 May 2012 (EDT)
- yeah this probably warrants a response years later... i think that's definitely JL there, why wouldn't it be? i don't see why not add it, considering the scatting from David Dinkins is on the song's lyric page (and there are probably other examples i could think up). what magbatz said back over a decade ago (you know how time fades away) is pretty spot-on methinks.
