Count Drinkalot

Similar to the famed Sapphire Bullets, Count Drinkalot is an alias that They Might Be Giants has taken on when opening for themselves. Mostly an act of the band's early years, Count Drinkalot occasionally appeared before TMBG in concert up to the early 1990s. The name seems to come from the fact that under this moniker, John and John would urge the audience to drink — a lot, while wearing cheap vampire masks. Coming to a concert featuring Count Drinkalot would guarantee an acoustic set, with Flansburgh rocking the acoustic guitar and Linnell on the accordion.
