Trivia/Info
- "Say Nice Things about Detroit" was a popular slogan and campaign started in the 1970s by Emily Gail and her partner Herb Squires to improve the city's image. You can read more about it here and here.
- John Flansburgh noted on social media, "This one was inspired by seeing Alan Cumming's live show. It is my dream he would sing it. Maybe some day!"
- The YouTube video description states, "Visual thanks to Joe Hollier and Chris Smith". Joe Hollier had previously directed the music video for "Answer" and Chris Smith had previously directed the music videos for the songs "End Of The Rope" and "Aaa". It includes several shots of Detroit, including: the Joe Louis fist statue, an overhead shot of Hart Plaza, and the Light Tunnel in Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
