- John Linnell's House Of Mayors is released through the Hello CD Of The Month Club in August.
- Factory Showroom is released on October 8th, TMBG's sixth album and the last on the Elektra label.
- On November 26, about a month after Factory Showroom, the EP S-E-X-X-Y is released. It is the only EP to come from that album.
- TMBG are interviewed and recorded performing for "Kit Kat Acoustic Break", a series of promo CDs intended for college radio stations.
- John Linnell attends and performs at the Missionary/Mercenary: The Accordion in the Workplace accordion seminar.
