im scottish, therefore not up on all my usa stuff, but i thought the song was about an old ad for tacos or something? am i talking bollocks?
- I'm pretty sure that this song is about self-worth. It's all got to do with self-esteem.--tehbagel 15:53, 5 Apr 2006 (CDT)
was this song really written during the Flood era, as Stiddy claims on his user page? -Nosaj56 14:30, 18 Feb 2006 (CST)
- Yes, according to the Mink Car breakdown that was written by John & John:
- "7. Hovering Sombrero
- this was written twelve years ago in the studio while we were recording
- our Flood LP. Nobody makes LPs anymore, but "Hovering Sombrero" still
- remains fresh to us, after being defrosted in the microwave and served
- on a bed of the Band of Dans."
It certainly goes with the Flood album. It would have been perfect on there.
