Made this account cuz I actually don't remember having an account here which is odd because of how much times I've lurked and scrolled around. Did I have one? Who knows? :)

How did I discover TMBG?

VERY simply put I became a tmbg fan in like 2024 from hearing the Lemon Demon Birdhouse In Your Soul cover which I did not like (as a huge fan), it made me check out the original song haha.

Fun fact: When hearing their discography I put it on from the start (I still do that with new artists/bands I haven't heard yet). So the first song I took the time out of my day to sit down and listen to in April 2024 after watching the Birdhouse In Your Soul music video was Everything Right Is Wrong Again when I was 15. That song has a spot in my heart.

I heard Istanbul (Not Constantinople) in like some geography edit of Turkey's evolution in 2021 but I didn't check it from that point for some reason. I was 12 then and a bit foolish. I was a huge Lemon Demon fan at the time, idk why I didn't like expanding my music taste. But at least I'm here now and that's all that matters :)

Instruments, instruments, instruments

Yeah soooo, I play the bass. Have to cherish it because it's the product of months of saving up. I am a diehard PJ bass fan try and change my mind.

I started very recently, like in May. I enjoy it so far (though there are times I get frustrated). Been enjoying and loving playing TMBG basslines so far. One I enjoy the most is Mammal. I adore that song and the bassline in it. My friend wanted to go to a guitar store to get a new guitar and I just sat there tried a bass and played Mammal like about 5 times (hope employees didn't get annoyed).

I also got an accordion that's sitting around somewhere that's actually collecting dust. Why did I think that it would be easy especially when I've never played keys is beyond me. It might need a little repair cuz I got it locally at an unusually cheap price.
