Talk:Turn Around
From This Might Be A Wiki
The chorus seems to echo the opening melody of the Perry Como song of the same name & somewhat related theme. Coincidence? --Nehushtan (talk) 08:35, 8 November 2016 (EST)
- I think there might be an influence there! The guys have shown an awareness of swinging '60s music before. Witness "It Was A Very Good Year", "Concrete And Clay", "Maybe I Know", and "Walking My Cat Named Dog", plus lyrical references to things like "It's a Small World", "Pictures of Matchstick Men", and so on. Perry Como seems like the kind of square singer Linnell would enjoy skewering via this bizarre song. Though I feel like it's worth pointing out that Como didn't write "Turnaround"--it was Harry Belafonte and others [1]. --MisterMe (talk) 16:22, 8 November 2016 (EST)
Stage Lights[edit]
On their 2024 tour they had new, rotating lights. In the drive home from the May 9 concert, my wife said they should have had the lights spin around during the refrain of "Turn Around".--Pittsburghmuggle (talk) 14:29, 15 May 2024 (EDT)
