Talk:TMBW.Net Store
From This Might Be A Wiki
Please be advised that the band discourages TMBG fan sites from selling merchandise. I was asked to shut down my Cafepress store over a year ago. -TDK
I imagine it would be alright if we don't use one of their bevy of logos or press photos, or make the focus of the image the band, or the name of the band. That seems to be the precedent for most of such instances where there are subtle violations of IP. I don't know if William Allen White counts or not, but since his visage was originally taken from an encyclopedia (as I recall), and his estate hasn't complained in the past as far as I know, it's probably alright. What sort of emblem or what have you did you put on your shirts, TDK? -Ed
- 7-sep-2004: I still don't know that I'll do it, but, yes, the focus is not the band, but this web site, and the community of, I daresay, the coolest of the cool people on the internet. I think it'd be neat to have a TMBW.Net mousepad, mug, or a WAW clock (BTW: I think there already exists a WAW Cafepress store). I have no idea if anyone else would want any TMBW.Net junk. -SR
