Confused

Is anyone else confused by this? I don't understand how Birdhouse is a "wisecrack." Or Cake's version of "I Will Survive," for that matter. I always thought that song was just as legitimate as the first one, even though it gives a bit of a different message beacuse it's a guy and not a girl singing. --obsessical 21:53, December 5, 2005

I seen the commercial last night, I nearly shit myself. I was minding my own bussiness, playing "Hide Away Folk Family" on my accordion, and then i started hearing "Birdhouse in your soul", I looked over and seen the Johns jumping around. "WTF?" yeah, i enjoy the concept of seeing a tiny TMBG clip while watching some senfield, but...wisecracks? huh? doesn't make sense to me. oh well. maybe we can hope that someone will buy the album, and fall in love with birdhouse and we'll have a new fan in our ranks. ^_^ Bluething 18:32, 30 Dec 2005 (EST)

Stopping by all these years later to agree with an old thread. I wonder if anyone ever did what Bluething was hoping and became a new fan based on this compilation? Of course, this particular set of songs conveniently checks all the boxes of "quirky" music (~rolls eyes~) that might still be easily consumed by the masses.
