Anybody know the key signature for this song? It's driving me nuts! The piano chords Are G, C, Dm, and F. The vocal melody centers around G, F, and d. Flats and sharps in the melody include F#, A#, oh, and C# once or twice. Anybody have a clue? Thanks. - Desck
- The song's in G major. Linnell really likes his accidentals. :) - Overjoy
Dial-A-Song was created as a result of Linnell breaking his hand in an accident while being a bike messanger. This song has to be directly related to that incident. Should this fact be mentioned in the trivia? -- TheBlunderbuss 18:53, 3 Jan 2006 (EST)
Hmm... I think so. But it might just be based on the accident. 'Cause who knows if Linnell really did sue somebody for it. Or was in intensive care for a broken wrist. I dunno, could happen. Let's wait for somebody else's feedback too, then we can decide. =) {shrugs} --Lemita 08:37, 7 July 2006 (MDT)
phrases[edit]
In the 1951 film version of the musical Show Boat during an interval in the performance of the song Ol' Man River (from which Linnell spun some other phrases), one character tells another to "step lively!" --Nehushtan (talk) 22:09, 26 December 2019 (EST)
