Talk:Someone Keeps Moving My Chair

From This Might Be A Wiki

I personally think this is the best song on Flood. It's like the best representation of the slick (but amazing nonetheless) new wave pop that's on the album, outside of Birdhouse or Istanbul maybe. What do you guys think? - Spectre316

Second best, Birdhouse in my opinion edges it out just slightly. Nice to see someone else on the same wavelength! AllTimeWhat (talk) 15:31, 13 October 2022 (EDT)

It's my favorite as well! The organ riffs, the surreal personification, the atmosphere of chaos and disorientedness...classic John Linnell. I used it as my phone ringtone for a good while...with the opening line's focus on telephone-based communication, it seemed apropos. FloridaFlamingoGirl (talk) 20:25, 13 October 2022 (PST)

missing lyrics[edit]

The missing lyrics to "Someone Keeps Moving My Chair" are as follows:

Mr. Horrible / Mr. Horrible / We're not done with you yet Mr. Horrible / You have to try on these pants so the Ugliness Men / can decide if they're just as embarrassing as we think. / We have to be sure about this.

i read this on the tmbg FAQ. where are the lyrics? they only sing this on live shows? or maybe there's a demo version? Ore4444

Those are in the album version...just not the liner notes. :) -CapitalQtalk ♪ 21:30, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Sort of half-related, aren't there extra lyrics for Piece Of Dirt in the Lincoln liners? I remember hearing this somewhere, but I got the album digitally (through eMusic) so I can't check. ~ magbatz 03:57, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I know there are extra lyrics for Road Movie To Berlin on This Very Album.
Yep, and all of our liner-note needs are now satisfied by the Problems With Liner Notes page. ~ magbatz 16:22, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Man or Men?[edit]

Is it just me who hears "ugliness man" instead of "ugliness men" throughout the song? Until I looked at the lyrics I'd just assumed it was the one guy... --ΰΌΊπ„žπ„†β“†β“€β“”β“›βŽˆβ’Ήβ“žβ“œβ“œβ“β“–β“”π„‡ΰΌ» 22:44, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
