In Gigantic, they show a flyer for an August 20th show at Dr. B's. I noticed that they played Dr. B's in 1983...does anyone know what year this other Dr B's show would have been from? --Duke33 19:14, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Dates from Gigantic

Gigantic has a fantastic publicity sheet with some dates on it, which I reckon must be from 1983. Some line up with dates already on this page. Any objections to adding these shows here? My hesitation is coz the dates are out of order, incomplete, and there's no indication that they're all from 83. But I dunno everything else about it points to 1983. Also wondering if it's an ad for future shows or a retrospective "here are shows we've done recently" kinda thing? Neither really makes sense to me. --Batwho (talk) 11:54, 29 January 2021 (EST)

Promenade show page

Should that have a page? I feel like we know a few songs played and we know the venue and the year, just not the exact date. Thoughts? TitanicFog (talk) 01:51, 21 December 2023 (EST)

If we knew the month, maybe, but I don't love a page that would basically be Shows/1983-??-??. Maybe it could have a standalone page outside of the Shows section, but that breaks the formula a bit. I spent some time studying the photo, and I've personally come to the conclusion that the show most likely took place in April. I came to this conclusion by analyzing the weather of NYC from that year, taking into account the clothes that John and John are wearing and the environment of the photo (lack of leaves on the ground, pale sky observed via a colourized version of the photo). Of course this is probably a bunch of nothingness, but I figured I might as well add my 2 cents. RecordCollector06 (talk) 15:54, 23 December 2023 (EST)

I appreciate the effort into your investigation! Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to definitively conclude the month, let alone the season (though spring or fall feel most likely) from the B&W photos.
