Monkey with no tail[edit]
I always thought this line was referring to humans. Yes, technically it should be "ape," but that doesn't scan, so I figured John went with the next best thing for that reason. So I don't agree that there should be a trivia bit postulating that it's about an actual monkey, but I don't want to revert it without seeing what everyone else thinks. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 21:03, 14 February 2015 (EST)
- Well, I thought it was an actual monkey. -- Sonderling (talk) 21:34, 14 February 2015 (EST)
- i don't really think Linnell was going for something that specific? it's possible but without a direct statement it's hard to say for sure. Apollo (colloquia!) 21:44, 14 February 2015 (EST)
- Yeh, that's a good point too. And it is rather an obscure animal if it is just one very specific sort of monkey (I certainly haven't heard of it before), whereas the other animals mentioned are easily recognizable ones, and often just broad categories. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 21:47, 14 February 2015 (EST)
- i've expanded the bullet a little in order to give a better sense that these are speculations and not direct facts. hope this pleases everyone! Apollo (colloquia!) 21:56, 14 February 2015 (EST)
- Ok, that works for me. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 22:20, 14 February 2015 (EST)
