Talk:I Hear A New World

From This Might Be A Wiki

Should the performer on this be changed to TMBG now that it's been on an official TMBG release? Because I'm assuming that it's Flansy who played the music, etc., not Robin. What does everybody think? Also, can anyone confirm the "shorter demo version" that's mentioned on this page? And if it does exist, shouldn't it have a separate page? (And how did someone get their hands on it?) ~Drew

Makes sense to me. I think people forgot about this page, since no one's commented on it since ever. It's been changed. Additionally, the arrangement reminds me of Colorwheel. -j2
The shorter version must be the 1:58 long demo that was available to download from the WNYC web page. It was announced in the April 2nd 2004 email. The Cast Your Pod version is 2:09 long. I think they should have separate pages. ~User:Wireless mike
Oh, cool, then I have both versions. I agree that they should both have separate pages, so who wants to compare versions and make the separate pages? I'll do it eventually, but I'm not always the best at finding subtle musical differences, etc. We should probably make separate pages for the other CYPTTW songs that are new/different versions, right? Has anyone identified exactly which ones are and aren't different? Drew 10:00, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Is it weird that I love this song? -User:Flansfan
It is weird that you love this song yet would drag down its ranking with a mere score of 7 :O     ~ magbatz

This song creeps me out[edit]

The music in this song is really creepy. Particularly the melody on "I hear a new world calling me". (Creepy in a good way, of course.) --ColorOfInfinity (talk) 22:59, 9 October 2019 (EDT)

The original is even creepier. Find Joe Meek's version on a streaming service or YouTube. --Nehushtan (talk) 00:44, 17 October 2019 (EDT)
