Talk:D Is For Drums

From This Might Be A Wiki

maybe its just me, but when i listen to the main theme i hear "d is for drugs".

Maybe its just me, but when- Woah how the heck can Marty afford that expensive DW Drumset!?! That must've cost at least $4,000! Especially with the gold hardware. If he's using ddrum now, he should give that set to me. --Jason DeLima 06:02, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

And am I the only one that thinks Marty's drumset looks incredibly sexy in this video? -- Jason DeLima - ! - 02:15, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Similarities[edit]

I'm not usually one to point out obscure similarities, but check out this video at about 30 seconds in. Doesn't it sound exactly like this song, especially the bass and drums? --76.176.161.77 14:24, 21 January 2013 (EST)

Zounds!! Methinks you may have something there. Do these guys have any known TMBG connection or fandom? I suppose it could be a relatively generic greasy rock vamp that sounds kinda similar, but then again... --MisterMe 21:18, 21 January 2013 (EST)
It appears that the two bands have no apparent relation. However, the similarity between "D is for Drums" and "Chank" is almost as uncanny as the similarity between the guitarist and Steve Jobs. --Oldpinebox 22:22, 21 January 2013 (EST)
medeski martin & wood! oh fuck!!!! jam legends especially with john scofield. didn't even process the similarity. if there's any link it's probably the giants being inspired by the sort of jazz stuff in scofield/mmw's territory. similar to Flying V potentially being a vince guaraldi tribute (except without the letter association) --Ncrecc (talk) 19:55, 3 September 2022 (EDT)
