Review by Raymond Roth:

This was an awesome show for free, as about 100 people crammed into the coffee bar at Borders to see the Johns do an acoustic set and promote their new Dial-a-Song CD.
The crowd seemed to enjoy the set and the Johns were smiling and happy throught the 30 to 45 minute performance. I was surprised and happy at the nice selection of songs. We decided to attend as a tune-up for that night's McSweeney's show and it was well worth it.
After the show, we were situated right by the autograph table and were the first in line to get personalized autographs on my new Dial A Song purchase as well as the sleeves to our Mink Car and Flood CD's. Had a little chat with Linnell and he couldn't have been nicer. I explained how my 19 year old son, Alex, got me hooked on them and that we've been to two other shows this summer. Linnell was very friendly, smiled at us and said "nice to meet you guys".
