Fan Recaps and Comments:

Review by Shawna Lee, excerpted from this article:
On August 4th, they did a show at a Borders before the First Ave. concert. The in-store show was intimate, full of parents, kids, and fans from all walks of life. As Linnell sang lead vocal and embraced an accordion, Flansburgh also sang lead vocal as he grasped an electric guitar and Dan Miller backed with an acoustic. They performed a mix of old, but mostly new songs, that were catchy and amusing. Songs like "Robot Parade", "Bed, Bed, Bed" and "Violin" stood out in a ray of creativity, while "Boss of Me", usually in a rock sound, had been played in a refreshing folk version. When kids smiled and laughed, it was obvious the show had been a sweet success.
