Fan Recaps and Comments:

This was my first TMBG show! The support act was a new UK band called Family GoTown who were really good. The guitarist came down into the audience to watch TMBG. The show opened with 'She's Actual Size' featuring Flans on a mini drumkit. Flansburgh played his "prop" guitar throughout the show, which kept going out of tune. While he struggled to retune Linnell commented that this was "the best part of the show". This was part of a "UK Mini Tour" in advance of the release of the "The Statue Got Me High" single, and one of their last shows as a duo. The setlist was solid classics plus several songs from the upcoming Apollo 18. An interview with the band conducted backstage before this show appeared in 'Q' Magazine. After the show Flans came down to the merchandise stand where he signed stuff and chatted. I remember he commented to someone that he liked the way British people pronounced his surname. When someone asked him to autograph a postcard invitation to the show that had been sent out to UK mailing list members he expressed surprise saying he didn't know about the cards and added that "our manager is so together!"--astralbee 11:45, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
