Fan Recaps and Comments:[edit]

Review from the April 1989 issue of The Street zine, translated from German:

The Night Be Giants by J.
Two Americans from Brooklyn, New York, created a "Schützenfest-like atmosphere" in the club, complete with sing-alongs, upbeat rhythms, country and western, and marching music.
A stylish yuppie with a short haircut/Fielmann glasses + wristwatch + fuzz guitar, spinning like a top, and a skinny hippie with an accordion. Together, these two created a good mood for the Braunschweig audience, which gratefully accepted this niche music. Apparently, some people were already familiar with their new album, because quite a few made an effort to sing along.
Gone was the typical Lower Saxon apathy, with which the Braunschweig audience had already left cold several bands from overseas, such as Died Pretty from Australia. They were quite hyped up and several encores were demanded, which then came. It was a concert that one could leave in a good mood, and with the conclusion: we had our fun, the guys had their fun, that's entertainment. I also had fun... yeah...
