They Might Be Giants

August 7, 1985 at 10:30 PM

They Might Be Giants performing together for the Darinka Benefit at 8BC.

Fan Recaps and Comments:

This show, titled "We Are Darinka"[1], was a benefit for the club after it closed down on June 29th for operating without a liquor license.[2] All the money from this show was used to pay off the fine given to Gary Ray by the NYPD.[3]

Other performers included Howie Solo, Sadik Sedan, Jonathan Leiter, Nancy Cassaro, the Tall Lonesome Pines, the Lotte Dada Ensemble, Pons Maar, Charles Long, Hal Sirowitz, Andy Somo, The Jickets, Adrian Altenhaus and Garret Linn, who all performed at Darinka during its original run.
