- John Flansburgh in Podcast 35A:
A song from Dial-A-Song from years ago, uh, "No Particular Rock Club," "This Particular Rock Club," I'm not even sure what the title of it was; I think the cassette just said "Rock Club" on it.
- On November 4th, 1994, a fan named Bert J. Ouellette asked Flansburgh about the song after the band's set at the Agora Theater[2]:
Ouellette: I heard a something on Dial-A-Song about a year ago, it was something called "This Particular Rock Club." Where's it from? I loved it! I taped it, and transcribed it, and now my band covers it.Flansburgh: Oh (laughs), it's just another song.
Ouellette: Any plan to release it to a CD5?
Flansburgh: Naw, it's not THAT good a song... but feel free to cover it, you want the publishing rights to it? You can have 'em!
