I'm pretty sure the lyrics as they were given
(Headlights turn into the drive And disappear into the night Floorboards creak and footsteps heard Floorboards creak and footsteps heard)
were wrong. Like a lot. I have trouble hearing the correct ones myself, but I think they're something like:
Wilderness of mirrorshine Floorboards creak or footsteps crawl Headlights turn into the drive And disappear into the night.
A bit of googling turned up "Wilderness of mirrors shine, floorboards creak or footsteps heard; headlights turn into the drive, then disappear into the night" from metafilter, which is similar, but still has "footsteps heard", which is just crazy. I'm updating them, since I'm pretty sure I'm not making some kind of bizarre mistake (I have both the They Got Lost and Long Tall Weekend versions). Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong....

- Hey, just so you know, the DAS version of Rat Patrol is WILDLY different from the album version. Wildly, dude. It's just Flans singing a capella, and yes there are different lyrics too. Check the chronology page. And try to find a copy. It's super cool. --Luke 14:32, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
