There's a Tale of Woe behind this song...[edit]
Leeds Irish Centre is not exactly in the nicest part of the city and the Johns didn't have the greatest day when they played there. Among other things, somebody syphoned all of the fuel out of their truck (hence the chorus). Doubtless the incident left them both ill-disposed towards the venue and lacking in time to write the song, which is why the rest of the lyrics are pretty much just an enumeration of the many wonderful features of the Leeds Irish Centre, (including its walls, floor and ceiling - yes, it's that great a venue).
