What's there to say about The Audience? This group's membership changes more often than Spinal Tap's drummer. Ranging from Sandinista supporters to college students to young children, in sizes from the dozens to tens of thousands, The Audience is known for adding cheers, chants, and vocal echoes to many of TMBG's live tracks. In Battle For The Planet Of The Apes, their "People People / Ape Ape Ape Ape" chorus is legend. Sometimes, several members of The Audience get to play on Flansy's guitar, all at once! Never credited, never paid except in the occasional autograph, The Audience continues to perform with They Might Be Giants to this very day.
