My best friend in elementary school gave me a mix tape of some of her older sister's music, which included Spider, Instanbul, Particle Man, and most of Fingertips. We didn't know this was TMBG at the time - she told me Fingertips was clips from a radio contest. Years later, when I was a junior in high school, I had a gift certificate to spend at The Wall and happened upon Severe Tire Damage, with several familiar looking songs listed! One thing led to another, bla bla bla, they've been my favorite band ever since :o)
