Talk:Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (Album)
From This Might Be A Wiki
It seems that John Linnell played trumpet on all of the tracks (or at least it appears he did). Why don't we just state that on the album page and delete all of these songs, they're not really TMBG. I would also consider doing this for all of the Category:Albums Featuring TMBG As Guest Appearance albums. Keep the albums, lose the songs. --badqueso 18:48, 20 May 2006 (CDT)

- Should we go through with this? ~ magbatz 14:48, 16 Jun 2006 (MDT)
- I don't know. After mulling it over it's probably more of a bad idea than a good one. After all, we have an entire category for these songs and the Mission Statement says everything. Looking at it, it actually doesn't seem that bad. It's just the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (Album) that seems to have a problem. And if we find that Linnell did play on all of them then we should keep them. I guess the liner notes would be the best way to find out. Anyone have this album? The other songs in this category seem to need a little help too. Many don't have album or artist pages. Maybe we can link to the artist's website instead of creating a page for them? --badqueso 19:01, 16 Jun 2006 (MDT)
- I want to revive this discussion and suggest again that the songs be removed. I dont think we should wait for "somebody" to get a physical copy of this album to eliminate the 20 (20!) songs currently clogging up pages on which Linnell supposedly played trumpet (Trumpet?!). Leave the entry as only an album on which TMBG played. If and when somebody can confirm more information from the liner notes we can create song pages anew. Delete. -Tisher 06:48, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- I just did some Google searching about this and like every result (including this one) claims that he played baritone sax, while Frank London played trumpet. So that's one mystery solved.--Anextrafacelol 07:14, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
