- Referenced in a 2002 TMBG mailing list update as a song played in Central Park at TMBG's first show. Sample lyrics according to Flansburgh in the email: "Penguin, penguin, all alone and lost, standing, sitting, looks for a place to park."
- Unheard by They Might Be Giants fans for nearly three decades until it was included in Podcast 43 in 2011, transferred from a Dial-A-Song cassette.
- This song was also one of the first recordings to be put into rotation on Dial-A-Song in 1983[1], with its only recorded airing being taped in 1989[2].
