TMBW Theme Song

Welcome to the TMBW Theme Song Contest!

What Is This???

• Short answer: You know those crazy "taglines" we have on the Main Page? Just longer versions of that.
• Long answer: This is a contest to change the lyrics of a TMBG song so that it has to do with TMBW or wikis in general.

Rules

• The song you choose must be a TMBG song. (obviously)
• The new lyrics must have to do with this wiki or wikis in general.
  • For a huge list of examples, see the Taglines page. Here are just a few:
  • The Editing Museum, is open to the public
  • Wiki-squisite Dead GUI, rotating text on a web page...
  • Put your cursor over the edit tab
• You must create lyrics for the whole song. So if the song has 3 verses and a chorus, you need to write lyrics for 3 verses and a chorus.
• Each user may only have one entry.
• All entries must be completely saved before May 6th, 2006 at 11:59PM EST (22:59 CDT).
• No changes may be made to any entry after the deadline, no matter how minor the change. Any changes will be reverted.

How to Enter

• Create a subpage of your user page with the name "Theme Song" by going to your user page and adding "/Theme Song" after your name in the address bar (e.x. User:AtionSong/Theme Song).
• Start the page by copying and pasting the following, and then filling in the details:

• Now, type <pre class="lyrics-table"> and begin writing your lyrics on the next line.
• Once you are finished, put </pre> on the bottom.

Rubric

All entries will be judged on the following criteria:

• Singable
  • Are the new lyrics singable with the original tune?
    • Worth 10 points
• Creativity
  • How creatively are the references to wikis used?
    • Worth 25 points
  • How creative are the new lyrics overall?
    • Worth 20 points
• Humor
  • How humorous are the new lyrics based on the old ones?
    • Worth 15 points
• Logical Lyrics
  • Do the lyrics make sense as written?
    • Worth 15 points.
• "Name" Points
  • On the SAT you get 200 points for writing your name. Here, you get 15.
    • Worth 15 points

• TOTAL: 100 Points

Entries

Entries will be accepted for the next 3 weeks. The deadline is May 6th, 2006 at 11:59PM EST (22:59 CDT). Judging will begin on the 7th and end on the 13th. Winners will be announced on the 14th.
