Hockpa2e was first exposed to TMBG as a teenager through the Tiny Toon Adventures episode featuring "Particle Man" and "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)". The first album he bought, on CD, which was the newest release at the time, was Apollo 18. He soon acquired the complete back catalog and kept up with new releases up through Long Tall Weekend and John Linnell's solo album State Songs, after which time life got in the way for a number of years, and Hockpa2e even sold his entire CD collection.

Fast forward to 2011 or 2012, probably, when somehow Hockpa2e caught wind of the existence of Join Us and it was like falling in love all over again! Since then, Hockpa2e has not lost track of TMBG and has filled in the "lost years" albums Mink Car, The Spine, and The Else, subjected his children to Here Come the ABC's, seen TMBG live in concert (only once, sadly,) and thoroughly enjoyed every new release up to and including The World Is to Dig. And they all lived happily ever after, the end.
