Is that a cymbalom playing the background (the clangy-sounding thing, not the piano or accordion), and if so, who plays it? Tutt 14:46, 10 Oct 2005 (EDT)MasterChivo

Am I the only one who thinks the first note of this is the same as Free Bird's Rebirth? --veggieman

"This is TMBG's first song that begins with the letter 'Z'." - Is that trivia worthy? Really? --ΰΌΊπ„žπ„†β“†β“€β“”β“›βŽˆβ’Ήβ“žβ“œβ“œβ“β“–β“”π„‡ΰΌ» 21:58, 18 June 2012 (EDT)

In order to make it more 'worthy', perhaps we could compound that fact with the other fact that it is also TMBG's first and only song to begin with the word "Z". Or is that still not good enough for you? (real answer: I agree.) ~ magbatz 00:21, 19 June 2012 (EDT)

Music origin?[edit]

I was listening to the soundtrack from a tv show called Ponies and came across a song titled "Frost Frost" by Bibs Ekkel off an album titled Music From Russia. It's accordion based and sounds very similar to ZYX. Anyone know if that was an influence on this song, and any idea of the history of this song? I tried Googling it, but couldn't find useful info. Is it some sort of old Russian folk music? You can find the song on Youtube by searching "bibs ekkel frost frost".
