Question[edit]
Do you need a prior knowledge of the Escape Team comic to enjoy it? Because I'm thinking of buying the album on tmbgshop.com and I wanna know if I need to read the comic. - HotelDetectiveInTheFuture🪗 talk 🎸
- My opinion: no prior knowledge needed. The comic has its own narrative but the songs don't really overlap with it much - except maybe the "backstory" that all of these escape team people are the result of a nuclear accident. Though it's not on any streaming service, you can still check out the songs on YouTube. Try this playlist --Nehushtan (talk) 13:52, 9 August 2022 (EDT)
- Thanks. I have just bought the download on tmbgshop.com and I like it. - HotelDetectiveInTheFuture🪗 talk 🎸
- The Poisonousness is a major favorite of mine; I love hearing Robin Goldwasser take on a 2010’s pop song, especially one themed after standing up to bad influences. Also a big fan of the double-tracked Flans vocals + little bursts of accordion in Re-PETE Offender. -FloridaFlamingoGirl
- Is the comic book even available? I don't see it in the TMBG shop. --ColorOfInfinity (talk) 19:10, 9 August 2022 (EDT)
- (I know we're not supposed to talk about this via the pledge, but I'm pretty sure the comic book was an IFC 2018 exclusive)- Ampersand
- Probably doesn't matter since it's already mentioned here. --ColorOfInfinity (talk) 19:11, 10 August 2022 (EDT)
- It was sold on the previous TMBG MerchDirect shop. I think they ran out by the time TMBG Shop opened. Might pop up on eBay sometimes. -CapitalQ ♫ talk ♪ 09:50, 10 August 2022 (EDT)
