Apparently at some point someone in the newsgroup said Marvin Gaye and Phil Ochs had died on the same day and that was what "got married" meant. It turns out to be not at all true (they died a few years off from each other, actually) but ever since then I've thought about it when I listen to this song and it's been a hell of a lot creepier and also more interesting, so I thought I'd share that creepiness with you.
