Hey, how come the trivia from Musician related to "Maybe I Know" being chosen for a potential EP was removed? I think it gives a great indication for when it might've been recorded, although it'll be better for me to say "may have" instead "of likely", plus it matches with Flansburgh's statement on Tumblr about the song being a part of a scrapped Elektra EP[1]. − Mrsomebodyelse (talk) 19:44, 25 December 2024 (EST)
- I moved that point to the wax cylinder version's page, because that article doesn't seem to be referring to the LTW studio version. It states that the potential b-side/EP cut was to feature the same arrangement as the wax cylinder version — all acoustic instruments & Ron Caswell on tuba. The band might have recorded this electric version instead/in addition, but there's nothing to confirm that. The song is basic enough that it could have been recorded at another other point in 1993–97 — and as JF notes in that tumblr post, they recorded it "a few times over the years." Also his note about the EP isn't a statement of fact. Flansburgh himself is unaware of the date, and he's hypothetically raising the option of an EP, not confirming an unreleased one. --Batwho (talk) 10:14, 27 December 2024 (EST)
