Talk:Main Page/This Day In TMBG History

It's not May 15th or May 11th, as this thing says...--Oldpinebox (not logged in) 10:33, 18 May 2012 (EDT)

Thanks for pointing that out. It's a cached page. I've made some changes, so the main page should get re-cached every day. --Duke33 11:02, 18 May 2012 (EDT)
Whatever you did seems to work fine when I am logged in, but it says it's June 6th whenever I log out.--Oldpinebox 19:09, 9 June 2012 (EDT)
It's fixed now. This time, once and for all. Thanks for the heads up! --Duke33 15:29, 10 June 2012 (EDT)

something's up with external links—at least in today's event. with the regular wiki markup external link it was just displaying the link as [1], and reading the url as http://[whatever it was]+available+on+YouTube. with an html link, it doesn't let you click it. i have no idea why that's happening, i don't think i've noticed it before, but maybe i just haven't been looking very closely. it still works just fine on the page for the month. -Apollo (colloquia!) 11:54, 5 August 2012 (EDT)

...this is still happening... -Apollo (colloquia!) 11:34, 10 September 2012 (EDT)
I tried this out today and it still had the same problem. According to the source, whatever the process thing is erased the href="" part and left the <a>, and looks like a link 'cause of css. But, yeah, this needs to be fixed. —OldpineboxTalk 20:25, 2 February 2013 (EST)
for the record, i did talk to mr. uleis about this today, and he said that it was a very convoluted problem and a fix was neither simple nor even apparent. for now, i'd recommend trying to leave external links out of events where possible. because youtube links aren't actually damaged by the issue, i suppose those can stay in (for television appearances and such) for now. -Apollo (colloquia!) 20:49, 2 February 2013 (EST)
